‘Choose Life’ plates would fund Right to Life through the Secretary of StateShiawassee Dems received a report that Bennington Twp is questioning people who do not have a photo ID. The person who reported states that he was harassed until he produced one. The worker even said, “If you don’t have a photo ID, how did you get here?”
I believe the law states that if a person does not have an ID, the election worker is supposed to ask if the voter lives in the precinct, and then ask if the voter will sign an affidavit.
Furthermore, here is a shot of the ad that ran in the Independent on Sunday:
It reads, in bold caps: “YOU MUST SHOW PICTURED ID TO VOTE”
The ad is selective: it does not inform the readers that they have the right to sign an affidavit if they do not have a photo ID.
I’m getting ready to throwdown out here.
