Help Us Fight Muscular Dystrophy

December 1st, 2007 | by christine |

Hey everyone, meet my boss.

Between work, golf, & golf, he doesn’t have a lot of spare time. That’s why I think it’s so awesome that he spends it on supporting his favorite causes.

MDA serves people in our community with neuromuscular disease by providing clinics, support groups, assistance with the purchase and repair of wheelchairs, braces and communication devices, and summer camp for kids. MDA also funds research grants to help find treatments and cures for some 43 neuromuscular diseases that affect people of all ages, right here in our community.

Can you chip in?

Here’s what your money buys:

* $25 provides an annual flu shot for one person
* $85 funds one minute of research
* $100 funds a support group session
* $200 covers a clinical diagnostic exam
* $650 sends a child to MDA summer camp for a week
* $2,000 goes toward purchase of a wheelchair, a set of leg braces or a communication device

I know, I know … everyone wants your money at this time of year. But if you could spare just a little for the MDA, it would make my boss very happy. And when the boss is happy, I’m happy.

And really, don’t you all want me to be happy?

Ok, fine. Forget about my happiness. Just donate because it’s a good cause.
