Gay Pride Rally In Owosso

Alright everyone!! Today is the day.. Lets get our voices heard and let the Hot Spot and Owosso know that discrimination will not be tolerated!!!! Lets go and protest and have fun being ourselves tonight!! I’m excited! We protest tonight at 6:00pm at the hot spot parking lot and sidewalks down town here in Owosso on Washington Street!!! Hope to see all there and sharing your support!! Much appreciation!!
This is a follow up to this thread, where the author describes being kicked out of the Hot Spot due to her sexual orientation. The Hot Spot has since told her that she is welcome to come back.
(I do not know the Hot Spot’s side of the story on that)

I wish I would have known, I would have been there! Hope it went well and there was a good turn out!

I was there, 6 p.m…. there were only a few others in the back parking lot… I talked a couple into joining me on Washington, corner of Jerome, thinking there would be more visibility there…. I stayed for an hour or so and had to leave!
I was BUMMED later when I heard a CROWD showed up around 9!! That’s OK. I’ve been OUT AND PROUD since 1982 and most people know that!
I have communicated with the owners of Capitol Bowl and their only “rule” is: Keep the OPEN displays of affection respectful for the kids and families that are the mainstay of the bowling alley. Otherwise, they could care less what one’s sexual orientation or gender attraction might be.
I’m on my way there NOW to watch the SUPER BOWL! Namaste, KMB
