Rant on.
Why are we still talking about this?
Raise taxes.
Create a service tax.
Raise the income tax.
Raise the sales tax.
Pick something and do it.
Senate Republicans have put so much effort and PR into their anti-tax jihad against Michigan and Democrats, that they won’t be able to compromise and find a solution, without breaking promises to the 23% who still support them. Bishop has intentionally made it impossible for Senate Republicans to compromise.
House Democrats have a worthless speaker, who doesn’t know his ass from his elbow when it comes to leadership. Mike Bishop has been playing him like a fiddle. Bishop could say that he caught Andy Dillon screwing a donkey** and Dillon would eventually mosey up to a mic and mutter something about making progress with the Senate.
Thank God we still have Governor Granholm. She is the only one who has put forward a plan that makes sense … reforms, cuts, and revenues. Too bad she has a Republican Senate and an empty House.
And by the way, am I the only person who thinks “Cuts alone will solve the budget crisis in 2007″ makes as much sense as “Bombing alone will win Vietnam in 1969″?
Jeesh.
Raise taxes.
Just do it.
Rant off.
**no pun intended, fellow Dems

So I followed a link from “Don’t Let them Not Raise Taxes” and after reading both of articles, I just have to sigh a HUGE sigh of relief. It’s good to see that someone else realizes that more revenue is going to promote the services we need. I agree cuts and oversight is needed, but that can’t fix the issue alone. With Leon Drolet and his cronies in the pig patrol snowing everyone over, it’s nice to see that there is still some rational thought out there.

Hi SideShow, thanks for stopping by. I think most people understand we need revenues, but it’s not easy to get people to say it out loud.
