Pendergraff Declined Comment

The Argus reports that members of the Owosso City Council are unhappy with the way Prosecutor Colbry and Detective Pendergraff spoke about the investigation into the OMA complaint.

Pendergraff declined comment.

Thank you, Detective Sgt Pendergraff for not insisting that these people committed a crime. Apparently that was just too much to ask from Randy “mad dog” Colbry:

Colbry said he also found it ‘curious’ if the council members believe nothing wrong was done, why one of the councilmen refused to answer some of Detective Sgt. Mark Pendergraff’s questions.

Hmm … someone sounds defensive.

Councilman Mike Bruff expressed concern about proceeding with Council business, referring to Colbry as the “judge and jury” about which items were discussed privately before the official meeting. Mark Owen also had a few words about the prosecutor:

“I’m a little concerned I guess with the pattern of behavior I’ve been seeing coming out of that particular office,” Owen said. “It seems that in some cases they’re more concerned for the political, rather than the legal, aspects of the decision.”

Mr. Owen: We agree.

(Cool MSM trick: I refer to myself in the plural so that it will look like there is a board of editors who share my opinion)

When the Mayor Pro Tem of Shiawassee’s largest city expresses concern about a county wide office … maybe it’s time for the leader of that office to reflect on his recent conduct.

Just this blogger’s opinion.

Hey … remember this article? From the Independent, November 13 2005. Crazy.
