Mark Pendergraff Needs To Shut His Pie-Hole

Am I the only one getting sick of “MSP D/SGt Mark Pendergeraff” mouthing off about every case he investigates?

He is an investigator … he is supposed to be objective. If you’re biased, you tend to miss things.

There’s been talk about Pendergraff and how he treats his “investigations” for a long time, but Pendy is really starting to cross the line. One example, here he is talking about the AG decision on Holzhausen:

Det. Sgt. Mark Pendegraff of the Michigan State Police Post in Corunna, who investigated both cases, disagreed.

“There is no doubt in my mind (Holzhausen) committed a crime,” he said.

Usually police officers can get away with character defamation because their job allows them to lie during investigations and to attempt to persuade witnesses and prosecutors that a suspect is guilty. Their defense is that they’re just trying to do their jobs. But in this incident, the criminal case had been concluded and he was acting outside the scope of his investigative authority. This was slander, pure and simple.

The March 31 article in the Argus about the City Council OMA violation has another example of Pendy spewing forth his opinion:

Detective Sgt. Mark Pendergraff of the Michigan State Police conducted the investigation and said he agrees with Colbry’s decision.

What a shock! He agrees with Colbry!

Pendergraff might be a fine investigator … Lord knows he’s doing a bang up job on that Janice Podolan murder … but I just think the guy is a real jerk sometimes, and he’s just trying to make himself a celebrity.

So could our detectives please be a little more objective, and a little less self-promoting? Or could we please get another investigator around here?

Maybe Officer Barbrady is available…

Apparently he thinks he knows more about the law than the Attorney General’s office. HA ! !

I don’t understand his reasoning, not in talking about the case, not in determining the guilt or innocence.

The AG says it doesn’t fit the criteria of a crime…….just exactly what does he think the crime was?

How come they refer to “alleged” criminals all over the place, but this drain cmr thing they just flat out say a crime was committed. Is there more leeway for calling an elected official a criminal?

Pendy is a pathetic lapdog to the Mad Dog. Pendy is very unprofessional mouthing out slander against Holzhausen. I have delt with pendy and was very unimpressed by his shody investigating.
