Sweet Jesus I Hate Dave Camp
-
Ok, so I jacked the title from Sweet Jesus I Hate Bill O’Reilly. You caught me.
The idea isn’t original, but the sentiment is pure.
I hate Dave Camp. Hate him hate him hate him.
Now, I don’t hate him because he’s “conservative” … there are plenty of real conservatives I don’t hate.
I hate Dave Camp because he’s a slimy weasel who is slicker than baby oil.
He always votes the party line, whether his party is in the sensible center or so far to the right that it’s almost looped back around to the left.
Doesn’t matter what the GOP stands for at the time. Rubber Stamp Camp stands with them.

Dave Camp (R-MI)Certain trade unions have endorsed him, despite the fact that he only fights for your job if you pay him. (Hey Teamsters, you make my family proud.) He has supported every trade agreement that has come before him, even when the agreement has exported our jobs AND imported labor. (The Chilean FTA, for example)
My fellow Dems, with whom I have a love/hate relationship, consider him a “safe” seat.
WHY????
ARE YOU THAT FREAKING STUPID?????
(like I said, love/hate)
Mike Huckleberry, who had NO MONEY, and no support from the party, took 40% of his vote this year. That’s 4 of 10 voters who would prefer Huck over Camp.

bacon grease, or something similarImagine what we could do if we had some $$ and an organization to help.
Camp thanked his supporters this week:
I would like to take a moment and thank the voters of the Fourth Congressional District for choosing me to represent them and their interests in our nation’s capital.
The overwhelming support I received is truly humbling and I want every resident of the disÂtrict to know that my office is open to them.
There is much work that lies ahead: reinvigorating our Michigan economy; finding a successful way forward in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as dealÂing with North Korea and Syria; simplifying and lowering taxes for families and small businessÂes; and making health care more available and affordable.
I firmly believe that by workÂing together we can achieve much in the next two years.
Again, I appreciate your supÂport and I am eager to get to work on your behalf.
Dave Camp
U.S. CongressmanDisgusting.
First of all, the fact that he thinks 6 out of 10 is an “overwhelming” show of support, kind of explains his voting record.
Second, his list of work that “lies ahead” makes me wonder what the heck he’s been doing this whole time.
In 2004, he blamed Michigan’s economy on Governor Granholm. In 2006, he saw that the ‘blame Granholm’ strategy wasn’t working, so he decided to place the blame on the lack of enforcement on our trade agreements.
It’s like he woke up in October and realized that the Republican voters weren’t (entirely) stupid this year. “uh oh … better sound like a Democrat or the Democrat’s gonna win … ”
Finding a successful way forward in Iraq and Afghanistan … does he remember voting to go into Iraq? “Their turf, our terms rather than our turf, their terms” That’s how he defended Iraq. And only now … years (and thousands of deaths) later … is he about to find a “successful way forward” in Iraq.
I can’t speak to Afghanistan, because frankly I thought he had forgotten about that war.
Simplifying and lowering taxes for families and small businesses … yes, Camp does have a plan for that. He’s going to borrow money from your granchildren.
Making health care more available and affordable? Yes, as soon as he sends your job away and cuts funding to Medicare and Medicaid.
I mean … talking about how we have to “solve problems” when he’s been voting with the party that has had absolute power for 6 years …

I think it might be fun to run someone else against Dave Camp.
What do you think, should I go for it?

I couldn’t agree more. Dave Camp is a lying crap weasel. Why do people keep voting for him? I think it’s because they believe his lies. Did you see the ad campaign before the election? How he tries to make it seem like he’s all about clean energy and clean environment yet his voting record is a stark opposite. I can’t stand this guy. He is truly one of the creepiest slimiest politicians ever. Something needs to be done about this.
