Jeesh .. I Spammed Myself
November 4th, 2006 | by christine |In my ongoing attempts to fine tune my moblogging before Tuesday, I sent out one ‘test drive’ post from the phone yesterday. Then I went to my site (via cell phone) and saw that it wasn’t there.  Figured it didn’t work. Went to bed. Bummed.
Got up this morning … 16 ‘test drive’ posts. I spammed myself from my tiny little phone. (I once had so many instant messaging IDs that I accidentally IM’d myself. But that’s a different story) Moblogging is one of the reasons I am thinking about dumping Wordpress. WP is just buggy. Twice I’ve been on the road & tried to moblog something that I witnessed, and I couldn’t get into my dashboard. Sometimes the dashboard & wp login just stop responding. No one at WP can tell you why. If you wait long enough, it will be available again. If your browser has you logged in, you can work around this by choosing to ‘edit’ an existing post … but that’s not an option on a cell phone. It’s excellent software otherwise. I really like it, but it might be time to say goodbye to WP. |
But not before the election.
On Tuesday I’ll be roaming the polls to make sure that no one in Shiawassee in being harassed or intimidated, and that there’s no trickery on the part of the GOP to prevent people from voting. We just want to make sure that this year voters aren’t ‘messed with’ when they try to exercise their rights.
And I really want moblogging to work while I’m out there.
