October 14th, 2006 | by christine |I’ll admit, I’m a little nervous about this one. I wouldn’t be, but who wants to go down to a team that wants revenge?
And no Manningham tonight. Bummer.
I have a soft spot for Joe Pa though. I felt kinda bad for him last year, losing to UM at the last second like that. But I didn’t like those Penn State players walkin’ around in the Big House with their fingers in the air, “we’re #1!” Um, no. Wait until you’re home to be braggin’.
Should be a good game.
And I’d like to take this moment to say that commercials should be like junk mail, and the tv like an email program. So I could program any commercials with the words “paid for by DeVos for Governor” to be immediately deleted.

Defense doin’ ok so far …
Penn working a running game … 3 yards and a cloud of dust … 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Just fumble the ball already.
By the way, I finished reading the Unfortunate Events series. (Now I can watch the movie) … So many unanswered questions ..

Waiting for the next drive …
So I rushed out to Borders after work yesterday to pick up the last in the ASOUE books, cleverly titled “The End” … (which I found in the children’s section, which I’m sure was a mistake because these books ARE appropriate for adults, thankyouverymuch) …

Penn State receives & starts at the 24.
…so I had to finish books 11 & 12 before I could get to 13. So I read all last night and this morning, and I was so excited to get to the last book. I had all these questions … what’s up with the sugar bowl? Did either of the Baud parents survive? Where did Captain Widdershins go? AYE!
oh, game’s back on.
um … Penn State is puntin’ it away.
Wow … Breaston had nowhere to go. I’m impressed. Bummed, but impressed.

… so I’m not going to give away any more of the book / series than I already have. I would’ve liked a different ending, but I really recommend the series if you are looking for some light, fun reading.
UM starts at the 19, looks like.

Michigan is at the 25 or so … Henne passes … they move up to the 40. Mike Hart doesn’t get anywhere.

Lloyd Carr has a stalker. Interesting. The guy was arrested. Sounds like the guy is a bit unstable. It would be nice if the local police would take stalking as seriously as the Ann Arbor police.

Penn State QB Morelli is out for the rest of the game, possibly with a concussion. That’s too bad. (Though to be honest, I bet I wouldn’t care if it had been the OSU QB)

Let’s check on some other games …
Auburn beats Florida, who was #2.
Rankings were –
1. OSU
2. FL
3. USC
4. Michigan
So, FL lost to Auburn tonight. We’ll see how USC is doing in a bit. They’ve got about 8 minutes left in their game, and they’re 21-21 with Arizona. (Arizona!)
Seems like last year USC was always a come from behind team. They’d suck in the 1st 3 quarters (no disrespect to Matt L & Reggie B), but then kick ass in the 4th to come back & win the game.
And nothing happened on this drive, and Michigan punts away the ball again.
