    What a great post. I bet the DeVos News is sorry they invited you to blog now!

    I wanted to add one thing to your post. DeVos’s money influenced the Republicans to give him a tax break of nearly $300 million to open operations in China. After he won that tax break, he eliminated 1400 jobs here in Michigan. Taxpayers subsidized that tax break so DeVos and Amway could earn money in China. It did not benefit Michigan in the least since China requires the products sold in China to be produced there.

    American taxpayers got the shaft and billionaire DeVos and his family reaped the benefits.

    Kathy, it makes me sick what these guys get in tax breaks. They act like taxes are some kind of punishment. Does anyone really believe that daddy DeVos and Van Andel would’ve made their millions in a country other than America? the reason you can be a self-made millionaire in America is that our society, flawed though it may be, wants to create opportunity for people. We do that through our government. If the system works for you, you pay your fair share for the next guy.

    Period.
