Great Shot of Flint Weatherball

July 27th, 2006 | by christine |

I recently posted a bit of snark that referenced the Flint weatherball. Since then, and since my corporate office is only a few blocks from the weatherball, I’ve found myself remembering how much fun I used to enjoy watching it. Not that it was an exciting view … no, it was just a big ball of color … but it was an attraction that my brother & I always looked for when we were stuck in the back seat as mom & dad drove through Flint. For the past week I’ve carried my camera with me, thinking I might get a good shot of the weatherball, since I couldn’t find one online.

But then, from one of the best photoblogs on the net, comes this excellent shot. Thanks again, Michigan In Pictures.

Hey, thanks for the kind words - you’re totally welcome for the photo!!

In reference to your piece on canned letters to the editor from the DeVos campaign, I was at a school board legislative event last night and although DeVos could not attend, he sent a canned speech with a supporter. The platitudes per square inch (PPSI) readings were so high that I almost passed out.
