The week of July 17th the House of Representatives is expected to vote on the Federal Marriage Amendment. The facts are, even though this Constitutional Amendment was not passed in the Senate, the House is insisting on wasting taxpayer’s dollars and precious session time on this issue, which as of present is a non-issue. Tell your representative that there are more pressing problems facing this nation than an amendment to the Constitution to define marriage. With FEMA fraud, war spending, out of control deficit spending and an out of control Administration, marriage and flag burning is their focus? This is once again a move by the Republicans and the religious zealots to create a talking point leading up to the vote in November to distract from the real issues. Tell them to start doing the job they were elected to do, rather than pandering to the religious right.
