1. The Neo-Cons, led by Cheney, will assassinate Pres. GW Bush. Bush’s popularity will soar into the high 90’s.
2. Cheney ascends to the Presidency. Cheney’s popularity will soar into the high 20’s.
3. In memory of GWB, the Doubleplus Patriot Act is passed, repealing the entire Bill of Rights.
4. Cheney issues khaki colored Freedom Cards and makes a personal appeal to all Americans that they detain and torture anyone whose skin color is darker than the card.
5. Friend of Chertoff is appointed VP.
6. Cheney resigns for “health reasons”.
7. Friend of Chertoff ascends to the Presidency.
8. Meanwhile, Americans elect more Republicans to Congress, so that they can feel as safe as they would be if Democrats were in control.
(Ironically all of this will be more legitimate and logical than either of the 2000 or 2004 elections.)
