Part I: Economic Freedom Quiz

1. How much involvement should government have in labor relations?

A. Increase market regulations the power of labor unions
B. Maintain current regulations, with regular increases in the minimum wage
C. Relax most regulations except workplace safety.
D. Abolish most regulations. Let individuals negotiate their own wages

2. How much should the government regulate trade between nations?

A. Significantly increase protection and oppose free trade and globalization
B. Increase our levels of protection; International trade should be fair trade
C. Move toward more free trade and capital flow to other countries
D. We should have immediate free trade and capital flows to all countries

3. How important is a balanced budget? What is the role of deficit spending?

A. There should be no exceptions to a balanced budget.
B. A balanced budget should be required except in times of emergencies
C. Deficit spending is a useful tool if the economy outgrows the deficit
D. Deficits do not matter

4. Should government services be privatized?

A. All public services should remain under direct government control
