Dec. 10 marks the anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which includes the “right to form and to join trade unions†in the list of our most fundamental freedoms. The AFL-CIO is asking you to honor that anniversary by joining us as we fight to restore that fundamental freedom to America’s workers.

Sponsor: UAW Local 651 & Greater Flint AFL-CIO
Location: UAW Region 1-C Sit-Down Memorial
Description: A show of solidarity for our Brothers and Sisters who work at Delphi. We must show corporations that we will all stand together for worker justice. International Human Rights Day will be commemorated all across the country, but here in Flint, Michigan, we are going one step further, and showing that we will act as one to ensure workers’ rights! These rights include:
· Dignity on the job
· A sufficient wage to raise a family
· Expecting promises to be kept by employers
