Bush and Cheney are at it again. They had the unmitigated gall to accuse those opposing the war, of putting our brave and courageous soldiers in harm’s way. That is just another lie piled on top of all the other lies they have told since being elected. The truth is they have never supported the troops they so casually and callously put in harms way in Bush’s War.

They started a war that did not have to be. They turned Iraq into an Al Quaeda training ground. They are responsible for the death and maiming of thousands of Americans and Iraqis. They are responsible for all the damage done in their name in Bush’s War, physical, psychological and spiritual.

The cynical, combative speeches they recently made are absolutely perverse. Even before their inauguration the Cheneyites had pushed for sending our military into this war, even though when they had the opportunity to put their own lives on the line for their country they chose not to do so. They would not fight for their country when it needed them, but now have no qualms about sending our families, friends and neighbors into harms way to do what they would not. The Neo Cons who started this war are a bunch of spineless ideologues that, like Bush and Cheney, would not answer their nation’s call when it was made. They had “Other Priorities”.

What is even worse, they had no plan or strategy for winning Bush’s War. They just keep throwing our soldiers into combat and our money to corrupt corporations who are becoming wealthy on the backs of the American and Iraqi dead.

They sent our soldiers into war in numbers insufficient to complete their mission. They sent our troops to Iraq unprepared; under funded and ill equipped. They ignored calls from Senator John McCain and other military leaders for more troops. They consistently ignored intelligence reports that indicated their approach was wrong and after their “Shock and Awe’, had absolutely no plan to win the peace. Incredibly after almost 2 ½ years they still don’t. Because of these and a host of other calculated decisions they have made and their confusing arrogance with intelligence and strength, I hold them personally responsible for the deaths of the 2076 soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice on their behalf.
