Jim Marcinkowski in Corunna on Tuesday
November 20th, 2005 | by christine |The Shiawassee County Democratic Party meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at the Corunna City Hall Meeting Room, at 6:30pm. The November meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 22, 2005.
The guest speaker is Jim Marcinkowski, the Democratic challenger to Mike Rogers to represent Michigan’s 8th Congressional District in the US House. Mr. Marcinkowski is a Royal Oak attorney and former CIA agent. He was recently featured on 60 minutes, discussing the outing of his CIA classmate and colleague, Valerie Plame.
The Democrats will also be finalizing the plans for the float in the Parade of Lights, which is Friday, December 2 at 6:30 in Corunna. We are looking for battery powered generators, which are required to run the lights on the float. If you have one we can use, please contact Carol Spaniola at 989-743-3293.
We will be continuing our collection of funds for the Shiawassee County American Red Cross Mobile Food Pantry. If you cannot attend the meeting, you can still contribute by sending a check to our party chair. Checks should be made payable to Shiawassee County American Red Cross, and mailed to Carol Spaniola, 517 West Corunna Avenue, Corunna, MI 48817.
This meeting will be the last regularly scheduled meeting of the year. There will be no meeting in December.
